HI. I am Ana Roman

(Skulptor), an independent workshop facilitator, teaching artist, generative arts creative consultant, and creative technologist. My critical work has led to workshop performances and talks at institutions like MIT Media Lab, NYU Clive Davis, California Polytechnic and Berklee College of Music. My ongoing research in Sonic Cyberfeminism and Algorithmic Bias forms the core of my practice, exploring the intricate relationships between gender and technology, avatarization, queering AI, data rights, and the transformative impacts of AI on human identity.

In both my teaching and artistic practice, I invite students and audiences to rethink their relationship with technology, urging them to question its influence on creativity, identity, and power structures. By engaging deeply with these themes, I aim to create spaces where underrepresented voices are amplified and new possibilities in next-generation music technology are realized.

As a DJ/Producer, I've recently performed at Sonar Festival and Refraction Festival, with features in DJ Magazine and Mix Mag. Currently, I'm developing my Interface Intifada Handbook, Algorithms of Expressions and Sonic Solidarity Toolkit, set for release in 2025.
